This pergola ultimately allows you to choose between sitting in sunshine or shade, and provides shelter should it start to rain at a moment's notice - typical of British weather!
There is a brilliant built-in drainage system which prevents you from having to open the louvred roof to let water drain. Any rainwater that lands on the louvres flows into U-shaped channels. From here, the water flows from the roof and into channels in the pergola framework. Once in the horizontal framework, the rainwater will then flow into the inside of the hollow pergola legs and vertically down to the ground. This genius system means that you'll never see the water draining off of the pergola. If you were to open the louvres when wet, the U-shaped channels prevent rainwater from dripping under the sheltered area, and getting your garden furniture wet
Our weather ready pergolas offer you a sheltered option for you and your garden furniture to stay dry in rainy conditions. However, in heavy downpours, there's always a chance your pergola may leak. Just as you would with your house, we ask you to check the pergola gutters are free of debris to keep the pergola in good condition.
This pergola will require assembly and we recommend 2-3 people are required to safely lift and assemble the pergola. The build time is approx 2 hours and should be positioned on a solid and hard surface, like concrete bases. In order for the drainage system to do its job, the pergola should be secured to a patio that has a gradual decline. Most patios would natually have this, in order for rain water to flow away from the house. Please ensure the pergola legs are securely bolted to the floor using the holes within each leg base plate, and secured using the expansion bolts which are supplied as standard.
Our pergolas do not require planning permission. However, if you are unsure we always recommend contacting your Local Planning Office.
Please note that for Titan wall-mounted pergolas purchased in 2022 and thereafter, these will be compatible with our Titan privacy screens, but can only take 1 screen on the front-facing side of the pergola- you cannot fit a screen to the side attached to your wall or either of the sides of the pergola. For those bought prior to this date, they will NOT fit our privacy screens at all.
