The frame is made from toughened aluminium with a powder-coating and capped feet, a Textilene fabric is then wrapped tightly round this frame and chunky cushions with a soft, spongy filling and memory foam.

Even though it is maintenance-free,  is recommended that you perform a certain level of maintenance periodically to keep the unit looking tip-top after the rigours of regular family use.  This makes it more than suitable for use in marine environments - on the back of yachts, for example.
